Elastic polyurethane paint for inflatable boats and RIB

The Blue Marine Elastic Gum Paint is an elastic polyurethane spray paint for restoring or touching up deteriorated, aged or discoloured surfaces on inflatable boats, RIBs and boat cushions. The product is water-based and suitable for PVC, Neoprene Hypalon, synthetic leather and genuine leather.

• Maintains the surface’s elasticity
• Dust-dry after approx. 5 minutes and fully dry within 6–12 hours

Instructions for use

1. Clean the surface thoroughly. For PVC or Neoprene Hypalon, use New Magic. For synthetic leather or fenders, use Forza 100. For genuine leather, use a neutral soap.
2. Sand the surface with 280/320-grit sandpaper and remove all sanding residue.
3. Apply the spray can at a temperature between +15 °C and +40 °C. Shake the can well before use and spray light, cross-coats with 10–15 minutes waiting time between coats. Full drying takes place within 6–12 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

Coverage

On average, one spray can treats a surface area of approx. 2–3 m². When used on inflatable boat tubes, this corresponds to about 2–3 linear metres of the tube.

• the colour of the substrate
• the selected coating colour
• the condition of the surface
• the application method
• conditions during spraying
