Where can you find the serial number and hull identification number (WIN/HIN number) of your Zodiac or Bombard boat?

When placing an order, requesting parts, or submitting a service request, it is important that you provide us with both the serial number and the hull identification number (WIN/HIN number) of your Zodiac or Bombard boat.
These numbers are unique to your boat and ensure that we can always supply the correct parts or information.

You can easily find these details yourself on the standard factory ID plates fitted to every Zodiac and Bombard boat.

Where is the serial number located?

The serial number of your Zodiac or Bombard boat is shown on the aluminium manufacturer’s plate on the inside of the transom (engine plate).
You will find this plate:

• On the inside of the boat’s transom
• Often near the engine mounting
• On larger RIBs, it may be fitted near the helm seat.
• On a square or rectangular aluminium plate with model and production details

The serial number usually consists of a combination of letters and numbers, specific to this model.

Where is the hull identification number (WIN/HIN number) located?

The hull identification number, also known as the WIN number (Watercraft Identification Number) or HIN number (Hull Identification Number), is located on an elongated aluminium plate on the outside of the transom.
You will find this plate:

• On the outside of the transom, usually on the right-hand side (starboard side)
• On a horizontal aluminium plate with a sequence of 12 to 14 characters

The WIN/HIN number is a unique identification number used internationally for registration, insurance, and warranty.
